The yarn is spun from 100% mercerized cotton, which means it’s undergone a special treatment that strengthens the fibers and gives them a beautiful, silky sheen. The result is a durable and smooth yarn with an incredible stitch pattern that makes your stitches stand out clearly.

With the mercerizations thermoregulating properties that make it pleasant to wear and a length of 125 meters (137 yds), Catania is the perfect choice for summer outfits, children’s clothes, and airy shawls. Catania is also perfect for little amigurumi in all kinds of fun colors, potholders, dishcloths, dishtowels, and all sorts of interiors that you want to be able to wash at higher temperatures.

Catania’s color palette is large, with colors ranging from classic, timeless shades to bright and happy pastels. You’ll have no trouble finding a shade that fits your style, regardless of the look you’re going for.

To ensure that the colors don’t run in the wash, we recommend washing your Catania project at 60°C/140°F the first time. After this, you can wash it at the recommended 40°C/104°F.
